Surrey Walk: Our annual Surrey evening walk was a huge success - possibly the best yet! We were blessed with a lovely warm evening and the group enjoyed a leisurely three mile amble through countryside which covered parts of the Pilgrims Way.
Peter, our guide, gave a good commentary on the area pointing out many interesting facts, as well as snippets of gossip! His local knowledge was especially useful when, at the end of the walk, we climbed a steep incline up St Catherine’s Hill to view the ruined chapel and admire far reaching views of Guildford and its surrounding countryside.
As always, we topped the evening off at a local hostelry and can thoroughly recommend The Old Ship Inn for its wonderful food and cheerful service.
Thank you, Ann Holloway for arranging the event. How on earth are you going to top that?!
